Etienne Gatera

Etienne Gatera started his PhD at the Pedagogical University in October 2020. He studies Socio-economic Geography and Spatial Management. Mr. Gatera holds a B.A. in Development Studies from the National University of Rwanda and an Holds a M.A. in Economics (International Business) from the University of Economy, Poland. Currently works as French Service Desk Administrator at ABB based in Gdańsk.

  • PhD Thesis: The impact of economic development on the second demographic transition (SDT) case of Rwanda
  • Supervisor: dr hab. Sławomir Kurek, prof. UP
  • Research interests: labour, health and education economic development indicators, second demographic transition for Sab-Saharan Africa perspective and spatial autocorrelation of total fertility rate between rural and urban in Rwanda.
