Karolina Baron
M.Sc., Eng. Karolina Baron – PhD student in security studies discipline of social sciences at the Pedagogical University of Krakow. Graduate of studies in the field of spatial management with a specialization in spatial planning and engineering, and applied computer science with a specialization in software engineering at the University of Economics in Krakow. Her research interests include crisis management in the light of environmental threats, mechanisms of adaptation to climate change, spatial planning, the idea of a resilient city and the overall implementation of security policy in the process of urban tissue administration. She conducts research on ecological safety in the field of water management in urban environments. She also directs her scientific inquisitiveness towards the analysis of the role of information and communication technologies in shaping the stability of systems and supporting decision-making processes in the field of state security.
