I am a PhD student in the discipline of history, a post-graduate in ethnology and cultural anthropology and a member of the Association Twoje Korzenie w Polsce. My researches focus on historical demography and genealogy. In my Master’s thesis I analysed the process of reconstruction and the formation of perceptions of the past in the context of genealogical research. Currently, I am analysing the shaping of endogamous communities in the Polish-Hungarian borderland in the 19th century. I am concentrating on the impact of canon law on the matrimonial market: dispensation from the impediments of consanguinity and affinity.
