Jan Klósak

I am a doctoral student working in the field of literary studies. The dissertation I am working on is the fruit of my interest in the works of the British writer D.H. Lawrence, to whom I have already devoted my B.A. thesis focusing on the poetry of this author. My research aims to explore aspects of spirituality and religion in his work, while placing them at the centre of his works as a determining factor in the overall character of his writing.

My research interests include twentieth-century literature and classical philosophy and political philosophy. In addition, I am interested in sociology and the contemporary view of democracy and feminism, which is directly related to my dissertation. Apart from academic studies, I am also interested in music – with a particular focus on classical piano music and jazz.
