Karolina Różewicz
I am a graduate of the University of the National Education Commission in Cracow, where I obtained both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biology. Currently, my research is centred on electrophysiology, with a specific focus on the characterization of the bioelectrical activity of individual neurons and neural networks. My primary interest lies in the cellular and network-level mechanisms by which changes in neuronal excitability and conductivity contribute to neuroplasticity – the brain’s inherited ability of the brain to reorganize and adapt in response to experience, injury, or learning. The primary objective of my current and my forthcoming research is to analyse the principles of neuronal signal integration and their influence on the modulation of synaptic plasticity. The ultimate objective is to clarify fundamental processes that regulate the adaptability of neural circuits.
