Paulina Weszka

I am a PhD student in the field of history. I completed my master’s studies in Archival Studies at the Institute of History and Archival Science at the National Education Commission University (2024), as well as in Administration at the Faculty of Law and Administration at Jagiellonian University (2025).

My research interests include socio-economic issues and the history of the 19th and 20th centuries. I am preparing a doctoral dissertation entitled “Civilizational and Infrastructural Changes at the Turn of the 19th and 20th Centuries on the Example of Krakow: A Historical and Anthropological Approach.” In this work, I aim to demonstrate that these changes were not limited solely to the technical sphere. The modernization process influenced the daily lives of residents as well as their functioning in domestic and urban spaces.
