We hereby inform you that the admission procedure to the Doctoral School of the University of the National Education Commission, Krakow in the disciplines of Earth and related environmental sciences, sociological sciences and psychology for the academic year 2026/2027 has been closed with effect from 28 August 2026, pursuant to § 14 in conjunction with § 15 of the Admission Rules and Criteria for the Doctoral School of UKEN for the academic year 2026/2027 (Annex to Resolution No. 3.19.01.2026 of the UKEN Senate dated 19 January 2026).
The reason for closing the procedure is that the University has been awarded scientific category B in the disciplines of Earth and related environmental sciences, sociological sciences and psychology. Under Article 3(1) of the Act of 29 May 2026 on special arrangements related to the results of the evaluation of the quality of scientific activity for the years 2022–2025 (Journal of Laws of 2026, item 971), this makes it impossible to commence education in this discipline for persons admitted to the Doctoral School for the academic year 2026/2027.
The closure of the procedure results from circumstances beyond the applicants’ control and applies to the entire admission procedure in the discipline of Earth and related environmental sciences, sociological sciences and psychology. It is not the result of an assessment of any individual application or of the qualifications of any individual applicant.
