Maria Franelak
Graduate of a long-cycle Master’s degree in Psychology at the University of the Commission of National Education in Kraków, with a specialization in Clinical Psychology. She defended her Master’s thesis with distinction, entitled Improving Mental Well-Being through Brain Neuromodulation Using Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS), which involved conducting empirical research on brain neuromodulation and mental health. She is currently a PhD student at the UKEN Doctoral School in Kraków in the discipline of Psychology. Her research focuses on gratitude, meaning in life, emotion regulation strategies, mental well-being, and occupational burnout. In her scientific work, she concentrates on the role of personal resources as well as regulatory and preventive mechanisms in the promotion and maintenance of mental health. She has gained practical experience at the Kraków Therapy Center and in the Psychologists’ Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Kraków.
